About this project
For the second time I want to publish my own calendar with pictures of my Mandalas. This time to simplify the whole project I decided to do it with crowdfounding. In the calendar you will find Mandalas created in 2017 year. Some of them were made to order - around a specific intention, others came to me alone, during walks in Warmian woods and meadows. The 2018 calendar will only feature Mandals on a black background. Darkness with such often negative connotations in Christian Western culture, in my Mandalas is a reference to the Great Mystery, to the Living Darkness permeating the universe, to the female element, to the darkness of the womb, and to the darkness of the cosmos. To the feeding, supporting, enveloping darkness in which life is born.
The photographer for the calendar is Magda Magdalena Trebert, who once again agreed to co-create the calendar, making it laughable and joyful.
CALENDAR
Just like last year, the calendar will consist of 12 boards with Mandala pictures in 30x30 cm - the format of my little Mandalas. The calendar assumes that pics can be cut and hang on the wall after each month. Such a variation on the advent calendar for adult childrens :)
MANDALAS
Treasures of nature such as feathers, flowers or leaves delight me with its subtle beauty and fascinated by complexity. I am convinced that the most wonderful art is created by nature. That's why in my Mandala is use all I can find in my walks through magical Warmian spaces : flowers, feathers, moss, grass, wings of butterflies. In some Mandalas there are insects, mostly moths and butterflies found on window sills or in the attic (all insects have died of natural death, mandalas are 100% cruelty free).
ABOUT US
Two friends, one in love with the village and the forest, another citizen of the big city and civilization. The duo always have fun, whether it is penetrating Cretan caves or Warsaw garbage dumps in search of furniture.
